blog 1: music

Hello everyone!

Today is an important day because this is my first blog in this semester and I’m glad that the topic chosen by us is music.

I really like music, I like gothic metal style, but I can listen to another kind of music too. I like some bands where the vocalists are women, I like the lyric style with choirs and violins, but I like the rock as well, with a more heavy style. I have some basic knowledges of music because I sang in a choir during 3 years approximately and I learned how I should breathe to sing and other things like train my ear. Also my boyfriend studies music and sometimes he teaches me some general things, so I learn a little more about it.

Generally I listen to music when I am using the computer or when I’m tiding up my bedroom or my house. I like to listen to the music very loud because at the same time I sing the songs very loud too.

My favorite band is “After forever” they are from Netherlands, the vocalist was Floor Jansen, I love the way she sings, she has a very powerful voice, she can sing in a lyrics and also in a rock style, I really admire her. Now the band doesn’t exist, but I could saw them when they came to Chile in 2005.
